Schedule Control

Critical decisions made during predesign planning and design impact the project throughout its life. These decisions must be both timely and of high quality.

Our process first focuses on Owner understanding and approval of the design. Once this is accomplished, several concurrent activities can begin:
  • Detailed Design and Documentation
  • Contractor Selection
  • Construction Phasing Strategy
Overlapping design and construction can gain several months of time. With the General Contractor on board early, the following construction packages can typically begin:
  • Sitework
  • Foundations
  • Steel Order and Fabrication
  • Major Equipment Procurement
With good teamwork between the Owner-A/E-Contractor, total project time savings of 20 - 30% are achievable.
  • Early Contractor Selection

  • Constructability Review

  • Phasing Strategy

  • Teamwork
